REVIEW US ON HOSPITAL COMPARE

The Quality, Patient Safety, and Patient Satisfaction Reports are based on a variety of indicators defined by CMS, state, and regulatory agencies that are updated as data become available twice a year. Although there is a variety of hospital performance reports available, CMCL strongly believes in the use of nationally endorsed consensus indicators as these indicators have been developed by national specialty organizations based on the best current medical evidence; have completed a rigorous consensus process, and have transparent and easily understandable indicator specifications.

The sharing of this data, being transparent, demonstrates CMCL’s commitment to meeting the hospital MISSION and VISION statements.

  • CMCL is a community resource and we want our patients to have information about the quality, patient safety, and patient satisfaction provided.
  • CMCL knows being transparent leads the hospital’s commitment in providing continuous improvement in the services provided through accountability.
  • It is the right thing to do. We like transparency as it helps us contribute to the patient understanding on how the hospital is doing…public reporting drives performance improvement, improves the hospital’s quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.

The CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network is the nation’s most widely used healthcare-associated infection tracking system. NHSN provides facilities, states, regions, and the nation with data needed to identify problem areas, measure progress of prevention efforts, and ultimately eliminate healthcare-associated infections. The CDC requires data from each hospital for CAUTI, CLABSI, MRSA, CDIFF, AND SSI (colon and abdominal hysterectomy). In addition, NHSN allows healthcare facilities to track blood safety errors and important healthcare process measures such as healthcare personnel influenza vaccine status and infection control adherence rates.
